Harvesting Citrus trees in Casas Adobes neighborhood
Rotary Club of Tucson Verde loves the work that Iskashitaa Refugee Network does to help UN refugees integrate into the Southern AZ community while also helping to reduce food waste.
Our club's March project was to help this awesome organization to harvest citrus from the Sunset Ridge neighborhood.
You can see from these pix that our member volunteers had a great time picking trees and filling crates with ripe fruit that the refugees will transform into nutritious meals.
